Pool & Gardens
Surrounded on all sides by olive groves, vineyards and farmland, crops vary from one year to the next and are at their most colorful with sunflower, rapeseed or vine tomatoes. The extinct volcano of Mt Amiata, and Tuscany's highest hill-town, Montepulciano, are laid out in front, while the summer sun sets directly behind the villa bought by Napoleon Bonaparte for his niece Marie.
The 12-metre swimming pool is positioned to take maximum advantage of the striking views across the valley towards the mountains
Pergolas positioned in different locations around the house provided shady retreats from the summer sun and ample opportunity for al fresco dining. BBQs are provided.
“I've been fortunate enough to stay in this wonderful house on several occasions over the years and for me there is really no place to rival it in terms of style, comfort and exquisite views. The addition of the pool really was the icing on the cake. I hope to return soon for another slice of Italian heaven!”
“We've stayed with our friends Martin and Tina several times and enjoy it more each time. It's the combination of a sensational view; cosy villa and gardens, set on the outskirts of a small town where the local people make you feel welcome. It all adds up to a very special atmosphere. And when you can tear yourself away, I Lecci is located within a couple of hours drive of many of central Italy's main sites.”

“We have had a fantastic week. Martin’s villa is superb. Full of charm it offers all the comfort you could wish for. In addition the region has magnificent sites to visit.”
“We enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautifully restored farmhouse. The pool and gardens, complete with lizards to try to catch, delighted the kids. For us - the endless rolling hills with views over to Montepulciano were stunning, and we spent many evenings watching the dramatic sunsets, waiting for the fireflies to appear. The photos paint the picture perfectly and everything is as described, if not better. We would not hesitate to return and would urge anyone thinking of booking to take the plunge.”
“Images cannot describe this place fairly - it is so beautiful. Martin welcomed us in the best possible way and the house lacks absolutely nothing. The swimming pool and the views are fabulous. We, and our two children (8 and 3 year) had a wonderful week here. We will come back again!”
